*UPDATE*: Obama Cancels Trip to Malaysia

 

The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, will be visiting Malaysia in October this year. Obama will be here to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in KL on the 11th and 12th of October.

This news is confirmed by a tweet from Us Deputy National Security Adviser, Ben Rhodes.

“Heading out to Rangoon, Naypyidaw and Kuala Lumpur for meetings with governments and civil society.”

“Look forward to reinforcing US support for reform in Burma and discussing POTUS (President of the United States) visit to Malaysia and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.”

Expat Go Malaysia would like to clarify that we have not found a direct, official report from the White House confirming Obama’s visit to Malaysia. However, Ben Rhodes, a national security adviser to President Obama tweeted about Obama’s visit to Malaysia.
