Top Brands That Swept Social Media Sites in 2013

Starcount has compiled data from Facebook, YouTube and other popular social media sites to come up with a list of top 10 brands which have left a tremendous impact on social media sites in 2013.

The first place on the list goes to Samsung. The other brands on the list in ascending order are Walt Disney, National Geographic, Nike, Google, Coco Cola, MTV, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Here are a few more details on why these brands fared as they did.

Samsung debuted several new technologies during the year, reaffirming its commitment to innovation. National Geographic celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2013.

Coco Cola’s “Share a Coke” campaign had people signing up in droves on Facebook and MTV’s Video Music Awards featuring Miley Cyrus’s raunchy performance, helped it gain the 7th spot.
