The Malaysian, Wan Hashim Wan Mahmood, cycled around peninsular Malaysia in 28 days, earlier this year. He now plans to go on a cycling trip around Europe in August!

“I will visit several major cities in those countries. The expedition is scheduled to start in August,” he said.

The trip is estimated to cost about RM90, 000. This amount is to cover his bicycle equipments, food, accommodations for four months and so on.

Wan Hashim has six children and 18 grandchildren. He hopes to promote Malaysia to the world and also to prove that as a senior citizen, it didn’t mean that he could not bring honour to his country.
