11 Spooky Events in KL to Check out This Halloween

All Hallows’ Eve or popularly known as Halloween falls on the 31st of October each year. Although not a major holiday in Malaysia, the recent years have shown an increase in this ghoulish and frightening celebration. So, if you are looking for places to check out and events to participate in this Halloween, put on your fearsome guises and check out these 11 scary events around KL.

1. Halloween Fest at i-City

The 15,000-square-foot House of Horror at i-City is hosting a Halloween Fest with activities from the 31st of October till the 2nd of November. i-City’s Halloween Fest promises a fun and enjoyable adventure for people of all ages. The activities will start from 2pm on the 31st and end at 11pm on the 2nd of November. The activities scheduled include the Little Zombie Cupcake Design, a Giant Skeleton Ladder Contest, The Dead Fest and the Humpty Pumpkin Contest. The Dance of Dead Rockstars activity will feature costumed appearances of dead celebrities like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and more.

Also, i-city’s House of Horror, that prides itself on its combination of eerie machine and electronic ghouls, goblins and ghosts lurking around every corner, will be awarding visitors dressed in the scariest costumes a promotional rate of RM10 per person. Tickets are priced at RM60 for 4 persons.

2. Zombie Apoklypse at Publika

Looking to engage in an interactive quest to retrieve an antidote for a zombie infection? Publika Shopping Gallery is seeking brave souls to undertake a mission to battle with zombies that are infected with the Z-virus. Hordes of horrifying zombies will roam nooks and crannies under a shroud of darkness, awaiting the whiff of human scent. One must fight their way through the mall to recover an antidote from a scientist who has also fallen prey to the deadly plague,

This twenty-five minute adventure takes place on 31st October at 8pm and ends at 12am on 1st November.  Have the courage, brains and brawn to elude the walking dead? Then put on your game face and join in the Zombie Apoklypse.

3. Halloween Bloc Party at the Clubhouse at Cyberheights Villa

Put on your most gory and baddest Halloween costume to win interesting prizes at the first Bloc Carnival in Cyberjaya. Starting at 5pm on the 31st of October, the event features a UV-themed, wet-and-wild party that will include a fashion show by independent labels, a Halloween pageant, a fire show, carnival games and free flow of selected cocktails for ladies.

4. Spooky Storytelling at BookXcess

Do you have a scary tale to tell? BookXcess is preparing for thrills and shivers with their Halloween Spooky Storytelling event at their stores in Fahrenheit 88 and Amcorp Mall. Halloween-themed snapshots can be taken at the props corner and you can also take part in the bookstores’ trick-or-treat sessions while indulging in some free candy if you show up in your best costume.

Spooky Props and Photo Ops will be from now until the 2nd of November. Trick-or-Treat sessions will be held from the 31st of October to 1st November while Spooky Storytelling is from the 1st to 2nd November.

5. Halloween Spooktacular On Ice Costume Party at Sunway Pyramid

Want an icy Halloween night? Then head on down to Sunway Pyramid’s ice skating ring to participate in Sunway Pyramid’s Halloween Spooktacular Ice Costume Party on the 31st of October, where the first 20 skaters dressed in Halloween costumes will receive a mystery gift. 8. BULB-Havas Mad Laboratory Halloween Party

Feel like doing a good deed before partying the night away?
