Future Music Festival Asia in Singapore Cancelled

FMFA2015

The organisers of the Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) in Singapore have announced that the event is cancelled. According to Livescape Singapore Pte Ltd, the music festival that was scheduled to take place on March 13 and 14 at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore, has been cancelled.

The reason? Well, according to a report from Bernama, the Singaporean ministry turned down the organisers appeal for a permit to hold the event at Changi.

The FMFA was held in KL from 2012 to 2014. It was later reported that the festival will move on to Singapore, as a progressive step for the brand. Last year’s event in KL was spoiled by drug problems where six Malaysians died from a drug overdose and 16 more hospitalised.

The organisers have announced that there will be full refunds for all who purchased FMFA tickets. The reimbursement will take place in batches, from tomorrow, and is expected to take between 30 and 45 days to complete. No submission from ticket purchasers is required, as the process is automated.
