10 Exciting Halloween Events to Check out in KL & Selangor

Halloween is around the corner and that means only one thing: fright festivals! The freaktober month in KL is always packed with activities and parties for all ages and it is nothing short of fun. As we near the end of the month, more and more spooky Halloween parties are popping up and we’ve managed to compile ten different festivals for you to check out this year!

1.Providence KL: A Nightmare on Ampang Street

Providence KL’s A Nightmare on Ampang Street is set to be a super scary, but fun, event with your favourite Elm Street characters walking around. Party people, make sure you come dressed in your best Halloween costume to have fun. Ladies will enjoy a free flow of drinks and the best costume winner will walk away with a magnum bottle of Moet & Chandon. To ensure a frightening night of screams and scares, make your reservations early and don’t miss the fun!

2. Havana’s Sixth Annual Halloween Party

Havana’s epic Halloween party is back this year and you stand a chance to win RM1000 for the best Halloween costume. It is the biggest costume party in KL and features music, drinks and plenty of fun! Expect a night filled with epic spins from DJ Morph & JR on decks and performances by Stylo-Divas & Stylo-Sax. With only RM30 for cover charge, you will be partying to a fang-tastic night!

3. Rootz Club KL: A Malaysian Horror Story

Rootz Club KL is celebrating a three-day Halloween event filled with spooky music and scary costumes. Malaysia has its own ghost stories that send chills down our spines and Rootz will be celebrating these ghostly legends on Halloween with plenty of ghosts, ghouls and creatures of the night. Don’t miss the fun!

4. Pisco Bar presents Dia de los Muertos

Celebrate Mexico’s day of the dead this Halloween at Pisco Bar! Head to one of the coolest bars in town for some free face painting, eerie music and spooky drinks! Dress up as your scariest nightmare and stand a chance to win some great prizes when the clock strikes 12.

5. 1 Mont Kiara: Witches and Wizards of the Haunted Village

This is a spooky 13-day event for your kids! Take part in the costume competition, witches and wizards meet and greet and cupcake making workshop. There are plenty more chilling activities to take part in, not forgetting a visit to the haunted village!

6. Bangsar Village “Boo”tiful Costume Contest & Trick or Treat

A fun-filled event for kids who are itching to see zombies or even dress up as one! Join Bangsar Village’s costume contest at 3pm and stand a chance to win amazing prizes. Participation is only limited to 80 participants so come early to avoid disappointment. At 5pm, it is time to trick or treat! Pop up at any shops that have the Halloween stickers, say the magic words and enjoy your treats. What a great way to spend time with your little monsters!

7. Sunway Lagoon Nights of Frights

This Thursday till Saturday night, Sunway Lagoon will open its door for an epic festival of fear with the scariest mazes, creepy zones and ghosts lurking around. Prepare to scream your lungs out when you venture into the Death Port, Escape from Pudu 2, Kevil Hill, Sadako Dori & Toxic! Get your tickets at RM45 per person or RM80 for two! This fright festival is strictly for those aged 12 and above only.

8. Jumpstreet Into the woods

Need to burn off some adrenaline? Head to the Jump Street Trampoline Park in Kuala Lumpur and celebrate Halloween with fitness! Themed “Into the Woods”, prepare to jump your way to the scariest spots while you are dressed in your favourite Halloween costume. Can you imagine seeing someone dressed up as Frankenstein jumping around?

9. Zouk Club Freak Out

10. Happy Horrorween Publika

Publika has some tricks up its sleeve with a plethora of spooky activities this Halloween, from a Horrorween Costume Competition, Horrorween Games Booth, Horrorween Mini Treasure Hunt, Horrorween Trick-O-Treat, Face Painting, and Tattoo Booth, plus a movie screening to end the event! There will be plenty of madness going on, so put on your scary costumes and prepare to scare your mates!
