Laundry Bar, Lot 72, Ground Floor, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
14th January 2016, 8pm

Daniel (Lead Vocals), Aaron (Drums), and Andrew (Guitars), make up Wanted Symphony, an up-and-coming alternative rock band based in Kuala Lumpur. With their passion for music, Wanted Symphony bravely stepped into the music industry in 2010 and had never stopped growing since. They are also known for performing acoustic music rearrangements, despite being known as a rock band.

Wanted Symphony won the VIMA Independent Music Awards 2012 in the Best College Act Category, was included in the line-up for 8TV’s SHOUT! Awards 2012, and hosted their own series of live music events called Soundstruck: LIVE.

Laundry Bar will be hosting a session called Unplugged Vol: 4, featuring other artists such as Modescape, Armon, and Lux Spectra.

Free admission. For more information, visit Unplugged Vol: 4’s Facebook page.

2. Q Sound & Priscillia Xavier

Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar, Great Eastern Mall, 303, Jalan Ampang, 55000 Kuala Lumpur
15th & 16th January 2016, 10pm

Priscillia Xavier has been into music since the age of 11, where she timidly started out as a back-up singer and then, an acoustic guitarist in church.  Her love for music grew from then onwards; since 2010, Xavier has been performing live as a singer-songwriter, venturing into acoustic indie rock, pop and folk.

Gaslight Café & Music, 15-2, Jalan Medan Setia 1, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur
Today (12th January 2016), 8.30pm

Forget the usual vanilla flavoured run-of-the-mill girl band. The Impatient Sisters, who hail from Kuantan, write and sing expressive tunes of romantic depth, with a blend of quirky soul and folk-pop.

Their signature haunting harmonies and peculiar lyrics – about love, death, heartbreak, letting go, sleeping and other random observations of modern life – aim to capture the hearts of their listeners.

RM15 admission. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.
