MyTeksi travel app rebranded to Grab

MyTeksi, the taxi-hailing app launched in 2012, has been rebranded and is now simply known as Grab. This rebranding means that all of Grab’s services are now accessible via one app.

Apart from GrabTaxi, the app also includes the private car service GrabCar, the carpooling service GrabHitch,  the quick alternative to a standard taxi GrabBike, and a delivery service called GrabExpress.

Over the years, Grab has become a strong competitor in the app-based transportation service in Southeast Asia, rivaling Uber. Available in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia, it has over 200,000 drivers and the app over 11 million downloads across all platforms.

The change was announced at a press event in Singapore by Co-founder and CEO of Grab, Anthony Tan. The details of the new brand were presented in an infographic on Grab Singapore’s Twitter page which you can view below:
