Malaysia is an appealing destination for exhibitions and business events. There are many venues to choose from around the country, all equipped with top technology and able to cater for large crowds as well as smaller meetings.

1. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur

At the heart of the bustling Kuala Lumpur City Centre is the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KL Convex), the epitome of meeting venues in Kuala Lumpur, with its breathtaking views of the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Parks.

KL Convex is the city’s most technologically advanced, purpose-built facility for international, regional and local conventions, trade shows, public exhibitions and entertainment, as well as intimate private functions.

2. Subterranean Penang International Conference & Exhibition Centre

Completed in the year 2015, the Subterranean Penang International Conference & Exhibition Centre (SPICE) in Penang is elegantly furnished and fully equipped to provide a setting for successful events and memorable moments.

The 6,503 sqm. SPICE events space consists of a ballroom and a pre-function hall with the capacity to accommodate 600 banquet tables. The venue also features facilities catered for all types of conferences, from health to culture, business and sports.

3. Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Sarawak

This first purpose-built convention centre in East Malaysia overlooks the forest and majestic Sarawak River. The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) has a gross floor area of 36,500 sqm and a flexible design with spaces that can be sub-divided into a variety of configurations, for plenary sessions, exhibitions and banquets. 

The capacities include 1,500 delegates in plenary, a 2,000 capacity banquet hall and 14 breakout rooms. The largest pillar-free exhibition space is 2,500 sqm. BCCK also provides supporting service areas including  VIP lounge, commercial kitchens capable of servicing 2,000 delegates and a restaurant, as well as interpretation facilities in four languages.

4. Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, Langkawi, Kedah

Named after a beautiful maiden – and Langkawi’s most enduring legend – the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) is the island’s largest convention venue, offering approximately 3,716 sqm of convention and exhibition space.

Previously host to major international events, such as the famous biannual event Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), the state-of-the-art facility is conveniently situated adjacent Langkawi International Airport.

5. MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Selangor

Since its inception in 1997, the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) has emerged as one of Malaysia’s premier exhibition venues, hosting both regional and international business and major events. Within it is a seminar area, meeting areas, elegant interiors and state-of-the-art facilities.

The total built-up area for this building is approximately 111,484 sqm and offers banquet seating capacity for more than 20,000 people. This makes it a natural choice for important and large events.
