Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The International School of Penang (Uplands) opened the doors to their new boarding facilities in April 2016. The new residences are merely 500 metres from Uplands school and offer boarders resort style accommodation that caters for children from 12 to 18 years. Of course, the boarding house is more than just the physical environment. It is a thriving, vibrant community that reflects the personalities of those living within it. Uplands will continue to offer a unique experience for all boarders with a focus on academic achievement, participation in weekend activities, the teaching of resilience, respect for self and respect for others.

Student testimonials:
“Boarding, to us, is a great way to socialise with people from different years and various cultural backgrounds. Not only has it broadened our world view, it will help us grow as individuals” Student from Year 13

“Boarding is a second home for us, it helped us to become who we are today; an independent individual. We treat the staff here as second parents and the boarders as our siblings and best friends. Boarding means a lot to us” Students from Year 10 & Year 12.
