Excelsior International School’s Interact Club is a service club for students ages 12 to 18 whose primary purpose is to give students a chance to make a difference in the world. EIS Interact Club is sponsored by Rotary Club Johor Bahru Sentral.

This year, as part of our community service program, EIS Interact Club will be launching the “Plant a Tree Campaign” which is meant to foster an environment-loving culture among our youths. This project involves Interact Club members and primary students from the Excelsior International School, and 16 orphans from the SHAFAR Welfare Organisation (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Shafar), Johor Bahru.

The launch was held on 23rd September 2016 by His Highness Tunku Idris Iskandar Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Temenggong Johor during the Rotary Club Johor Bahru Sentral 5th Installation Dinner at Doubletree by Hilton in JB. EIS staff and students were in attendance where EIS Interact Club president Lim Ee Lyn helped launch the event.

The campaign is aimed to be the biggest community tree-planting and nature care event in Johor. Coordinated by Rotary Club Johor Bahru Sentral and proudly sponsored by Asia Plantation Capital, these are special days for all to help out by planting and caring for native trees and shrubs to improve the environment in which they live.
