With unfaltering enthusiasm for the Petronas Twin Towers, comes new hotels elbowing their way in for a piece of the view. It never gets old, does it? Although a little apprehensive about the potential additional traffic, we’re excited to explore the new sky-high restaurants and bars that come along with them. Hotels are continually upping their game, and we can’t wait to check out these new ones in KL.

Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur

This marks Malaysia’s first ever Banyan Tree property, and what a beaut she is. Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is split into a residence and hotel, offering flexible stay options based on your needs. As you can see from the photo above, the hotel boasts an unblocked view of the Petronas Twin Towers, complete with a bathtub to take in the view from. There are only 55 rooms and suites, making a stay at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur somewhat exclusive. Restaurant and bar options include Horizon Grill, Altitude, Bake, and Vertigo, the city’s latest It sky bar. They also have their own spa.

Another first for Kuala Lumpur – Marriott’s highly-anticipated W brand has finally made its way as a first in Malaysia. Located directly opposite the Petronas Twin Towers no less, the hip and chic brand has already begun making waves in KL’s socialite scene. There are 150 stylish guest rooms. Restaurant and bar options include Yen, Flock, Saint Pierre, Wicked, and Woo Bar. After partying the night away, guests can book a relaxation session at the hotel’s Away Spa.

Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Another luxurious addition to the Jalan Ampang address is Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The 209-room hotel also offers dining and drinking venues like Yun House, Curate, The Lounge at Four Seasons, Bar Trigona, Pool Bar  and Grill, and Decadent by Four Seasons. A host of interesting treatments await at The Spa, where guests can choose from options like Mesotherapy, Rotan Manau Tengku Herbal Massage, or Subtle Energies, among others.

Alila Bangsar

Alila Bangsar has 143 rooms and suites where most enjoy an unobstructed view of the KL city skyline, and are elegantly decorated and welcoming. Styling itself as an oasis in the heart of the city, guests can take advantage of the central location while enjoying a peaceful respite in the evening. The hotel has several restaurants and bars – Botanica+Co., Pacific Standard, Lido, The Pool Bar, and Entier, its French restaurant that has been the talk of the town.

Thoughtfully designed with residential living in mind, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur boasts a Mont Kiara address, with its many lovely food and drinks options in the vicinity. If you prefer dining in-house, there’s the Gallery Kitchen, H Bar, H Market, and Ten37 Sky Pool Bar to choose from. The hotel has 298 guest rooms and is ideal for long-stay guests or leisure travelers who prefer a residential-style stopover. At present, they are only accepting bookings for stays starting from 1 February 2019.
