Two budding student chefs from R.E.A.L Schools, Cheras Campus – Sophia Lim and Chuah Pei Xuan –made their school proud when they cooked up a storm and emerged champions of the ‘Next Big Chef 2019′ competition! The grand finals, which took place on 16 March 2019 at UCSI University College, saw a total of 50 students from the Klang Valley converge to showcase their culinary skills.
Nasi Kerabu, Malaysian Style Prawn Curry & Pineapple, Deep Fried Pomfret with Brinjal & Sambal, and Snow in Pear formed the pair’s winning recipes, which had a very ‘Malaysian heritage’ feel to them. The championship title also presented the two Science stream students with gold medals, a hamper, bursary, and cash prizes. Their achievement is testament to the ethos of ‘REAL Education for the REALWorld’, in which students are always guided to discover and grow their talents and interests in life.
