Swiss Dream Circus

Returning for its fifth run in Kuala Lumpur, this beloved Big Top event is back with even more of the best performers and artists from around the world gathered for an unforgettable experience. From traditional, ageless performers such as Victor Rossi, an 8th generation Franco-Italian clown, Stanislav Vysotskyi form Ukraine, who developed a foot-tossing juggling act in his 21-year experience, to modern acts such as Zac Tomlison’s jump rope acrobatics; come by Desa ParkCity for one of the oldest cultural shows of the 20th century! Artbox Malaysia 2019

After a successful run last year, Artbox Malaysia 2019 assembles again for another open market featuring regional creative entrepreneurs from retail, F&B, music, art, and more! With the massive concept of reusing and refurbishing abandoned shipment containers with beautiful and quirky art installations, come and experience a one-of-a-kind curated experience in this boundary-pushing community. The Artbox market will be held at Sunway City’s outdoor open air carpark (opposite Sunway Hotel and Resort) on Fridays to Sundays from 3 – 11pm.

Preloved is Reloved 8

Preloved is Reloved comes back for its 8th instalment at APW Bangsar. Over 50 vendors will be offering things up for others to love again, and other homemade goodies for all! The flea market will run from 10am – 6pm over a weekend, so come and have an eco-friendly, sustainable, and fun day out in Bangsar’s quirkiest location.

Tukar Tangan (Reloved, Recycled, & Renew Market)

Come and find treasures from the past with Jaya One’s flea market! Back by popular demand, this collection of homemade and second-hand goods for auction and sale as low as the currency allows is the perfect weekend to finally learn the true value of things through many different eyes. In addition, everything for sale is capped at a maximum price of RM50, so there is bound to be some really good steals! Jaya One is also known to be a pet-friendly area, so bring down the whole family (even the pet cat/dog/bird/lizard).

Viennese Treasures: Schubert 7

Alasdair Malloy’s Symphonic Safari

Teaming up with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, presenter Alasdair Malloy and conductor Michael Seal is set to bring famous animal melodies from both the silver screen and classic collection to the whole family. From Disney favourites to Gershwin, Strauss, and Korsakov (who created classical piece Flight of the Bumble Bee), come with a stuffed toy or animal costume for an afternoon of fun! Sake Festival Malaysia 2019

Coming back for a second edition, Malaysia’s one and only sake festival is ready to toast the finery that is Japanese liquor! Migrant & Refugee Poetry Competition Finals, Malaysia

The fifth instalment of the  Migrant and Refugee Poetry Competition is going strong with features of upcoming and established talents in support of giving a voice to multi-culturalism, refugees, and lower wage workers. The importance of these communities within Malaysia and throughout the world, and the literary talent of both migrant workers and refugees in Malaysia will be highlighted by the shortlisted poets and their art from both Adult and Junior category, followed by a cultural program and award ceremony for most outstanding poem. The event will be held at Auditorium 7.1, HELP University, Jalan Seri Semantan, Bukit Damansara from 9.30am to 12pm.
