March Madness is flying loud and proud this year, but not everything has to be hectic! Here are some events for you to wind down, be a good community member, and all around have some good old fun.

Each for Equal: A Day of Celebration

In collaboration with All Women’s Action Society (AWAM), celebrate #TheFutureIsFemale with performances, talks, art exhibits, and all manner of positive female energy and empowerment! Come and support equal opportunity and rights for all even by just purchasing foods and drinks, for 15% of all sales will be contributed to AWAM’s fundraisers for people in need.

Malaysian Confessions: Real Entrepreneurs, Real Stories 2020

Learn to do’s, don’t’s, what if’s, and everything else that could happen to a business from local entrepreneurs who tried, won, or failed. This inspiring story-telling session will share insights and experiences, inspire and entertain, and most importantly teach listeners about life and being a professional. Kuala Lumpur BlaBla Language Exchange Event

Come and learn how to speak the languages of the world with this group of fun-loving linguists! Held in the cosy Attic Bar on Jalan Balai Polis in Kuala Lumpur, this 4-hour session will introduce you to the many local languages in Malaysia, the essential ‘rojak’ sentences we use, and other languages you might be keen to pick up after listening to a fluent speaker. Rockaway Festival 2020

Since its inaugural gathering of local rock stars in 1999, Malaysia’s biggest rock festival is back to celebrate even more local and upcoming international talents! Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Watch hot air balloons in various shapes and sizes as you enjoy the sights around Putrajaya, Malaysia’s administrative capital. During this event, visitors can watch ballooning competitions, enjoy hot air balloon rides, and other fun activities such as a food bazaar and an exciting Night Glow event. Admission is free, but tickets will need to be purchased for rides and food.

Beethoven Lives Upstairs

This dramatic presentation by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra introduces Christoph, who encounters the torment of Beethoven’s deafness and the beauty of his most memorable work. Featuring pieces such as the Moonlight Sonata, Für Elise, and the dramatic 5th Symphony, come and enjoy a fun afternoon with the whole family listening to one of history’s greatest music composers.

Irish Music Night
