#stayathome: Malaysia Extends MCO to April 14

In a live address to the country this afternoon, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the Movement Control Order (MCO), which was scheduled to end on March 31, has now been extended to April 14.

Further extensions have not been ruled out.

Muhyiddin implored residents to remain calm, assuring them despite the extension of the MCO, there is no shortage of food and that there is no need to stockpile or hoard anything.

Malaysia’s number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now up to 1,796, with 17 deaths reported.
