THE KASTURI IS UNIQUE

It is a five-star beach resort located at Chendor Beach, Pahang, which commands a perfect view towards the sunrise, over the forested point of Tanjong Geliga and off to the South China Sea. With rainforest behind and beach in front, the villas and suites at The Kasturi offer a superb retreat, encapsulating the reality of being embraced by land and sea. This tiny resort of just 23 keys is designed to escape city stress, without sacrificing the comforts and luxury we crave. The Kasturi is the finest small luxury resort along the East Coast, embraced by the gifts of nature and breezes from the South China Sea.

A STUNNING CHOICE OF ACCOMMODATION

A majority of the resort villas are on the beach front with their own private pools and vistas across the sand to the water. The stunning A-frame structures are articulated like folded origami, complimented by beautiful rubble walls and additional planting to ensure that each villa has complete privacy. The villas have been planned with a living area adjacent to the bedroom and dressing area, a large bathroom overlooking a walled garden and an outdoor shower, large private deck areas with garden and ponds, a large dip pool and all technologically modern facilities and amenities. Each villa has its own gate to the beach and another shower just adjacent.

EXQUISITE LOCAL DINING

The Kenyang Restaurant takes its name from the luxuriance of a sated appetite. Located in the main building, guests may sit within the air-conditioned interior, or outdoors on the verandah overlooking our main pool. The cuisine celebrates all of the cultural influences of Malaysia’s gastronomic paradise and is dependent on local bounty.

OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The Kasturi offers freedom and green outdoor space where you can walk for an hour along the golden sand beach towards the river mouth, and rarely run into another soul. You can float down the tranquil river in a kayak, catch a glimpse of otters, or a kingfisher perched on orchid-covered trees. Just walking along the 260.5 m-long elevated forest trail walkway from your villa to the restaurant is a chance to bathe in the calming regenerating power of trees. Every effort was made to protect this beautiful natural asset.

PRIVATE RETREAT IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

During this covid pandemic, many would prefer a private getaway rather than having to share the facilities with others. At The Kasturi, we offer villas for you to enjoy your own private space, including your own pool, away from the crowd. You have the choice to enjoy your meal on the well-ventilated open-air terrace of the restaurant or your private spacious villa deck. It is definitely a perfect getaway without having to worry about social distancing!

THE EXCLUSIVE RIMBUN DAHAN TURTLE HATCHERY

Located on the estuary of our river Sungai Pak Siak, to the north of The Kasturi Resort, the hatchery is an environmental conservation centre where the eggs of endangered sea turtles are incubated until they hatch. The hatchling turtles are then released into the sea.

Guests of The Kasturi are invited to visit the hatchery and participate in the release of hatchlings during the season for a small fee that directly supports the hatchery’s running costs. Female sea turtles can generally be seen coming to lay their eggs from April to August, and the hatching season then runs from June to October.
