Grab Malaysia has officially rolled out their latest feature for passengers who prefer minimal conversations for the duration of their trip.

Introverts rejoice! For those who dread making endless small talk during their Grab Car rides, you now don’t ever have to again with Grab’s newest Quiet Ride option. After going through a trial period of several months, Grab Malaysia has officially rolled out their latest feature for passengers who prefer minimal conversations for the duration of their trip.

To enable Quiet Ride, tap on the menu button (triple dots) near the bottom of the Grab app screen, then toggle the “Quiet Ride” switch. Once selected, don’t worry anything else and enjoy your ride.

Once activated, driver-partners will then be informed of your Quiet Ride preference. However, you will still be required to verify your name, drop-off location, aircon temperature, and preferred route. Driver-partners may have their radio on and you can request to have the volume on low if you so prefer. Do also note that drivers may take a hands-free call during your trip.

In the instance your Grab driver may have somehow missed the Quiet Ride notification and engages you in conversation, passengers are advised to politely remind them of it. For more info, learn about the new feature on Quiet Ride FAQ.
