Music fans – and aficionados of the arts in general – won’t want to miss this! Dropping on Saturday, February 24 and running from 10am all the way to midnight, Back to the Blues is an amazing urban art and music festival that combines large-scale art with compelling, enjoyable musical performances. The central theme is the blues, its roots, and its influence in shaping modern music. The stage is set to host some of the most entertaining, talented, and influential blues artists, both locally and regionally. The festival takes place on the greens of KLPAC, Kuala Lumpur on February 24, and the organisers have put together a stellar line-up of musicians and artistes who will grace the stage. The legendary Blues Gang will be performing, along with other blues maestros such as Muzza, Gerard Singh, Bourbon Lassi, Blister, and Nifael Band feat Md Nor Hendrix – just to name a few!

In addition to Malaysia’s home-grown musicians, some of the best talent from the region will be putting on a show as well, including Gugun Blues Shelter (Indonesia) and Dom Turner & Al Terry (Australia). The highlight of the festival will host one of the biggest jam session with some of the best musician on the stage, playing together. One of the organisers for the event, Operations Director, John-Paul Ponnudorai, said, “Back to the Blues is a music festival that aims to celebrate the blues, and its tremendous impact on popular music today.”

Entry tickets start at just RM88 and kids under 12 can tag along free of charge. For more info and tickets, as well as a line-up of performers and artists, just visit senisana.org/back-to-the-blues. Back To The Blues was launched in 2004 at the infamous Titus Blues Avenue in Chinatown. The festival ran for a duration of three weeks, from April 13 till May 9 and brought together music and art lovers from all walks of life. The main aim of the festival was to bring the public together in its common appreciation of music, art, and a sense of community. This year’s edition promises to be a great time, surely the highlight of the weekend for all who attend!
