The 6th Kuala Lumpur Highland Games will be hosted by the Selangor St. Andrew’s Society which is one of the oldest Loyal Societies in Malaysia, established in 1887. Membership comprises Scots, descendents of Scots and people who are interested in Scotland and Scottish culture.
Date: Saturday, 23 February 2019
Time: 8am – 8pm
Venue: Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort
Jalan Bukit Kiara, Off Jalan Damansara, 60000 Kuala Lumpur.
Things to see: Watch the competitions as marching bands perform with bagpipes and drums, marvel at the kilted heavy athletes testing their strength in traditional Scottish sporting events (e.g. caber toss, hammer throw, shot putt, height for weight), and cheer on the teams in an international junior rugby tournament.
Things to do: Bring a group of friends and enter the Tug o’ War competition. Explore the Kids’ Village with its fun rides and activities. Sample the many stalls offering a wide selection of delicious food and drinks (some with a very Scottish flavour). Listen and dance to live music in the Beer Tent from the afternoon until 8pm. Enjoy it all, as part of a great day outdoors in the lush setting of Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort!
