Malaysia Airlines’ New CEO Will be a Foreigner

Malaysia Airlines’ (MAS) new CEO will most likely be a foreigner from the airline industry. According to a report in The Star, this will be the first time in history that a foreigner will hold the post as CEO of MAS.

The identity of the new CEO is not known at this point of time.

The new CEO will be given the directive to plan the restructuring of the company and will also see through the results of the company over the next five years.

According to The Star, Khazanah Nasional Bhd, MAS’s major shareholder, has agreed in hiring the new candidate.  

MAS will also look into hiring five or six key personnel who are experts in specific areas of the industry to help cut costs.
