Cold Stone Creamery, a popular American ice cream parlour chain, is all set to bring its sweet treats to Malaysia by planning to open 20 stores here in the next five years. The chain recently announced the signing of Master Franchise Agreement with Srivijaya Sdn Bhd to bring the famous ice cream brand to the nation, beginning with a location in Kuala Lumpur.

We Malaysians might not be too familiar with the brand yet, but Cold Stone Creamery is a well-known ice cream eatery in other parts of the world, as they serve delicious and premium ice cream in a fun and exciting manner. Famously known for the Ultimate Ice Cream Experience®, the brand does not only serve amazing ice cream in a variety of flavours, but they also firmly believe that they’re in the business of making people happy. This means that each time a customer walks in their store, they will be given one-of-a-kind experience that they call 10-Minute Vacation, where they’ll be greeted by enthusiastic, singing crew members. It’s basically seen as a happy place, a place to escape from our busy lives.

Expected to open its first location by end of this year, Malaysians can soon enjoy the brand’s smooth and creamy ice cream that is handcrafted daily in their store, as well as customised creations by combining a variety of mix-ins on a frozen granite stone.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Cold Stone Creamery is seen as one of the fastest growing franchising companies in the world, with a portfolio of approximately 1, 500 locations in over 28 global markets.
