Slide The City Splashes into Setia Alam on 30th September

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Picture this: a 1,000-foot long slip n’ slide going right through city streets and you whizzing down the slide on a unicorn float, shooting a water gun at your friends. That’s the idea behind Slide the City, the global water carnival that brings a gigantic waterslide to major cities across the world including the United Kingdom, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, the United States – and now Malaysia!

The colourful slide will be set up at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam for an entire month between 30th September and 29th October 2017 so you can slide, watch live shows, enjoy lip-smacking food from a selection of over 15 food trucks, and take part in carnival games like the Rodeo Bull, dunking game, bungee run, and gladiator joust. Slide the City is basically a big water carnival for the whole family.

And one of the great things about this is that as you’re slipping and sliding around, a portion of the sales proceeds made at the event will be directed to the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia in support of patients suffering from kidney diseases. Not only that, Slide the City is also partnered with Shark Savers to reduce the consumption of shark fins.

This fun event seems to have a core of conscientiousness which is laudable. They want to champion a healthy lifestyle by getting you out of the house and at the same time, raise awareness on preserving natural resources. I can get behind that, can you?
