World’s Greatest Fan is Made in Malaysia: Dyson

This story is presented by The Expat Group, the parent company of Expat Go Malaysia.

The world’s greatest fan is made in Malaysia. No kidding!

Dyson fans were created by James Dyson, though that was not his first project. In 1978, Dyson decided to take apart his vacuum cleaner to see if he can make it work better after countless frustrations from his vacuum’s diminishing performance. He went through 5,127 prototypes before inventing the world’s first bagless vacuum cleaner.

Since that first invention, Dyson has grown from one man and one technology to a company that has over 1000 engineers worldwide and various innovative products. In fact, about one third of all Dyson employees are engineers and scientists.

Dyson fans are definitely unlike any you have ever experienced before. First of all, there are no blades. That’s right; Dyson fans have no dangerous spinning blades. This also makes for easy cleaning. Your Dyson fans also have sleep timers so you can choose to programme it to turn off at a certain time.  Insteat of blades, Dyson fans use an air multiplier technology that amplifies surrounding air, giving an uninterrupted stream of smooth air. The remote control has 10 precise air flow settings, and you can be sure that it has negligible sound interruption.

Below are a couple of videos introducing these bladeless fans.
