Emirates reports that they will have served approximately 500,000 Christmas themed meals on their flights by the time December comes to and end! This enormous feat includes the distribution of festive treats for their younger passengers as well as premium customers.

The international carrier began offering its Christmas menu from December 9, with the special meal items being available until December 31 2019.

The festive menu will see popular Christmassy selections to be served on routes to Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, the US, South Africa, and the Philippines.

Economy passengers can look forward to holiday favourites such as turkey slices with mashed potato, green peas, baby carrots and cranberry jus lié, followed by milk chocolate mousse topped with a festive chocolate button.

In business and first class, customers will have choices such as roasted turkey breast and apricot stuffing, roast potatoes with creamy Brussel sprouts with turkey bacon and cranberry jus lié, followed by a Santa inspired chocolate cake, or chocolate gingerbread cake.

Premium travellers on Emirates’ A380 routes will also be able to visit the stunning onboard lounge to sample treats including Santa’s Spiced Amarula cocktails, mince pies, gingerbread snowman cookies and cranberry, coconut and white chocolate truffles.

In first class, a prepared goodie basket will be given a festive twist to include Butlers chocolate and orange bars, gingerbread popcorn, Lakrids salted caramel liquorice and chocolate, and roast turkey and stuffing flavoured crisps.

As an added treat, younger economy passengers will get a chocolate snowman cookie with their lunch or dinner, and children in first class will be offered hot chocolate with marshmallows and star-shaped cookies.

All of Emirates’ 41 lounges will also serve Christmas dishes between December 15 and 31, including roast turkey and stollen cake.
