Service Disruptions on KTM Trains

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) commuter service, electric train and inner-city services to the north and south will be disrupted from today until Saturday, following an incident where some commuter train coaches went off the track last night, the New Straits Times reports.

According to reports, three commuter trains went off the track last night between the Simpang Batu Station and Putra Station around 10.55pm last night. Because of this, all KTMB train services are forced to undergo changes in travel time of between 15 minutes to one hour. This is because all trains are forced to wait for their turn to use the same track, namely the Putra Station track to the Bank Negara Station, before heading to respective destinations.

KTMB are currently working on repairing the damaged track between Simpang Batu Station and Putra Station, and work is expected to be completed by Saturday.
