Bernama reports that a bilingual science fiction film, 3Genius, will play in 160 cinemas in India come April 2013. The movie is produced by a local company, On Track Animation Sdn Bhd.

According to Deputy Information, Communication and Culture Minister, Senator Datuk Maglin Dennis D’Cruz, the movie will be shown during the school holidays in the country.

“This is good progress as it is not easy for a local film to get the opportunity to be shown in India,” he said.

Datuk Maglin also promised that he will help to promote the Malay and Tamil language movie during his working visit to India this month.

“The government continues to support efforts to improve the national film industry. Besides that, efforts to promote local Tamil films abroad also hopes to encourage local producers to come up with more of such films,” he said.
