E-Cigarettes Said to Be More Dangerous Than Normal Ones

Are you currently puffing away on your e-cigarette, thinking that it is safer compared to smoking a real stick? Well think again. The Health Ministry has advised those who have switched to electronic cigarettes to refrain from using liquid nicotine because it is more hazardous, than smoking a normal cigarette.

According to Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai’s comment to the New Straits Times, liquid nicotine is a controlled drug under the Poisons Act 1952. He said he hoped the public will take this warning seriously as the usage of liquid nicotine is dangerous. He also said the ministry is keeping a close eye on the sale of e-cigarettes as they want to reduce the smoking habit among the public.

Technically, it is safe to use the e-cigarettes without the liquid nicotine; to slowly help one to quit smoking.
