Asia to Dominate the World by 2030

In their latest report, Global Trends 2030, the National Intelligence Council, a United States government entity, predicts that Asia will have more power than Europe and the United States combined within the next 20 years.

The report says China’s economy will have overtaken America’s by
2030. This is a widely held view, and some predict it will happen
much earlier than 2030 – probably before 2020. However, the report makes a distinction between being a superpower and having the largest economy.

It is predicted that the US and Europe will suffer from falling living standards and ageing populations, while Asia benefits from its rapidly growing population and commensurately bigger growth in consumer purchasing power.

The report merely confirms something many people already know; Asia is the place to be in the coming century.
