Flash Floods in Puchong

Were you stuck in yesterday evening’s nightmare of a traffic jam? If you don’t already know, the traffic was caused by flash floods, which caused the Federal Highway and the LDP to back up with traffic.

The flash floods which hit Puchong yesterday evening was a nightmare for all those in the area. Traffic reports heard over the radio confirmed that the heavy downpour had cause several areas in Puchong unreachable.

Reports also had it that the basement car park in IOI Mall was flooded, and many cars were inundated by the floods. Certain fast food joints in IOI Mall were also flooded, as water began flowing in around 5.30pm.

The flash floods hit two southbound sections of the LDP (KM21.36 and 23.50) at around 5.20pm. Although some of the cars on the road were “floating” at one point, no one was injured.
