Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Have you been to the Life Centre located along Jalan Sultan Ismail recently? Well, the place has recently gone through some upgrading and renovation works, which started in September 2010. It was officially completed in August 2012.

The revamped Life Centre is a food and beverage, and entertainment hub offering delicious gastronomic delights with exciting events right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The seven-story building houses some of the finest wine-and-dine establishments, niche cafes, luxury car showroom, convenient store and state-of-the-art entertainment hall that has played host to international superstars.

In terms of food, the Life Centre has some of the best cuisines! From the best in Chinese seafood delicacies at Ah Yat Abalone Seafood, traditional Japanese cuisine at Kingyo Japanese Restaurant, revolutionary Latin-American Japanese cuisine at Doraku Sushi & Latin Cuisine, to freshly-baked Italian bites at Vespa Pizza, Life Centre has it all. Other food and beverage outlets at the centre include dr.Cafe Coffee, Amadeus Bistro & Wine Bar, Serai Asian & Western Cuisine and Dirty Nelly’s English Pub.

Life Centre is also home to the iconic KL Live event hall which has staged some amazing concerts over the years. Some of the stars who have graced the stage at KL Live are Simple Plan, Sum 41, Train, Christina Perry, Pixie Lott, Greyson Chance, Ning Baizura and many more.

The Life Centre has definitely come a long way. About 23 years ago, the land it stands on was nothing more than two rows of terrace houses facing Jalan Perak. In 1988, a music record pioneer, Mr. Ng Lian Chin, began constructing the Life Centre. The plan was to build a food and beverage, and entertainment centre that is unique and will be the talk of the town. Two years later, in 1990, the construction was completed and Life Centre began its operations.

Have you visited the newly revamped Life Centre? You should!
