Survey: Immigration Issues?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This year we will be conducting a survey to get feedback from expats about immigration issues and see if they feel improvements are being made. While we cannot always help people with problems, we have had some success in the past.

We are interested in receiving feedback on two specific issues, if any readers have issues relating to them. First, for those married to Malaysians. We are would like to know if anyone has recently had problems with the spouse visa. This could be as regards the application process or the period for which the visa was issued. We are not as interested in problems which happened long ago as to the issues related to improvements, if any have taken place in the last year or two. Second is the issue of older children of long-term expats who have foreign passports and are finishing schooling. If expats are worried about them having to leave Malaysia because they are unable to obtain a visa to work, given their lack of work experience, we would be interested to hear from you.

Equally, if you have suggestions we would like to hear them. Please write to Andy Davison at The Expat Group or e-mail to [email protected].
