So-net Entertainment, a Japan-based ISP backed by the Sony Corporation, has recently launched incredibly high speed internet services in Japan. The ISP will be providing download speeds of up to 2 GB with this new service called Nuro. Compared to the internet speeds in countries like Australia, this fiber-based internet service offers speeds that are 20 times faster.

At present, So-Net’s Nuro is available to home users and small businesses in and around Tokyo. The upload speed of this internet service is a little less than one Giga byte, which is still faster when compared the rest of the world.

Compared to the top broadband services in Malaysia, So-net’s Nuro is ridiculously fast. When it comes to fiber-based internet services in Malaysia, TIME Fibre Broadband has the fastest packages with download speeds going up to 100 mbps. Maxis Home Broadband, another popular ISP in Malaysia, goes as far as 30 mbps, while TM UniFi and City Broadband Enterprise packages go as high as 20 mbps. At present, none of the broadband packages come close to speeds offered by Nuro.
