Nicol David Only Malaysian Going Strong at British Open

Datuk Nicol David, World No.1 for women’s squash, is currently the only remaining Malaysian standing strong in the 2013 British Open squash championship.

Held at Pontefract in West Yorkshire, England, the British Open saw four Malaysians competing for a chance to win the title. Three of the players, Delia Arnold, Low Wee Wern and Ong Beng Hee are no longer in the running.

Nicol David managed to advance in to the second round of the competition after competing and defeating Joshna Chinappa from India. The set which lasted 30 minutes had the score 11-4, 11-5 and 11-4.
