Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Oman Air has placed an order for Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines to power the three Airbus A330s it currently has on order. The order also includes long-term TotalCare® service support.

The Trent 700 is the market leading engine for the Airbus A330, and powers Oman Air’s existing fleet of four A330-200s and three A330-300s, which have been introduced since 2009.

The Trent 700 is the only engine specifically designed for the Airbus A330 and more than 1,400 Trent 700 engines are currently either in service or on order.

Oman Air is currently undergoing an ambitious fleet expansion programme, which will see its current fleet of 30 Airbus A330, Boeing B737, Embraer E175 and ATR 42 aircraft joined by a further 11 B737s and six B787s, as well as the three A330s which will be powered by the Trent 700s order that has just been announced.
