Road Signage to Improve

Many expats complain about the poor road signage in Malaysia. Even if the signs are visible, and many seem to be hidden behind trees or other signs, they are often unclear. Apparently there is now a pilot project in Kuantan based on UK signage, which is considered superior to most, and if this process is deemed to work effectively, then it will be rolled out across the country.

Some might argue that Kuantan is not the best place to test new signage, as it is hardly the most confusing place in Malaysia, given the limited road options there, but nevertheless, if the end result is new and improved signage for the whole country, we are happy with the plan.
