Langkawi’s Cable Car system is a popular tourist attraction. Located at the Oriental Village, it is a 15 minutes drive from the Langkawi International Airport and a 40 minutes drive from Kuah town.

The Cable Car provides an aerial link from a point near the Burau Bay Resort to the peak of Gunung Machinchang.

There are three main attractions to check out when you take the cable car:

1) Base station:
From the base station, you will be taken up via the Langkawi Cable Car on gondolos. This gives you a great view of the surrounding forest, the Seven Wells waterfall and the sea.

2) Middle Station:
When you reach the middle station, you may alight and walk up to the viewing platforms to check out the view and take some amazing photos.

3) Top Station:
You can take a short walk up a flight of stairs to the Top Station where you will see two viewing platforms at the top of Gunung Machinchang. There is also a cafe for refreshments.
