School snaps: TIS Puchong Charity Ride to celebrate Merdeka

Taylor’s International School Puchong came together with Majlis Perbandaran Sepang to organise a community charity ride in conjunction with the celebration of the 59th National Independence Day. The charity ride offered a 30km ride for the adults that en route to Cyberjaya, and a shorter distance of 5km ride for children below the age of 12.

The event attracted over 1,300 bikers from Peninsular Malaysia. The ride was flagged off by Yang Berhormat Tuan Ng Sze Han, Adun Kinrara, Mr. Ong Chun Wei, Ahli Majlis Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, Mr. Tong Jeng Harng, Ahli Majlis Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, and Mr. Paul Rogers, Principal of Taylor’s International School Puchong.

“The School is pleased to have this opportunity to work with Majlis Perbandaran Sepang to be the venue sponsor for this community project. Our students have also worked on several fund raising projects to raise RM5,000 for the two selected charities, namely the Beautiful Gate Foundation For Disabled and PDK Rumah Kaseh,” said Mr. Paul Rogers.

The successful event ended with lucky dips and mock cheques presentations from the event sponsors.
