Guinness Malaysia is inviting consumers across the country to become part of the quality-control process with its new “Rate Your Pint” campaign, a nationwide initiative designed to help drinkers better recognize what makes a properly served Guinness Draught.
Guinness Malaysia has rolled out a new nationwide campaign called “Rate Your Pint,” giving consumers the opportunity to play a more active role in recognising and rewarding a well-poured Guinness Draught.
The campaign introduces what Guinness describes as a first-of-its-kind initiative in Malaysia, encouraging consumers to step into the role of “Chief Pint Officer” by learning more about the elements that go into serving a quality pint. Through a mobile-based rating platform, participants can score the Guinness they are served and contribute those ratings to a live national guide highlighting outlets consistently pouring a good pint.

At the centre of the campaign is the Perfect Pint Guide, an evolving, consumer-driven platform that allows Guinness fans to share their ratings in real time. The idea is simple: educate drinkers about the characteristics of a properly served Guinness Draught while also creating a useful guide for fellow consumers around the country.
According to Guinness Malaysia, craftsmanship remains central to every Guinness Draught. Factors such as the cleanliness of the glass, the quality of the pour, the stability of the creamy head, and the balance of flavour all contribute to the drinking experience. The new campaign is designed to help consumers better understand those details rather than simply treating the pint as a finished product arriving at the table.
Getting involved is straightforward. Consumers can visit the campaign microsite at https://perfectpintguide.guinnessmsia.com/ and follow a four-step process to begin rating their Guinness experiences.

The first stage is the “Tilt Challenge,” a short interactive mobile activity designed to demonstrate how a properly poured Guinness Draught should hold its signature creamy head without spilling excessively. It serves as a quick introduction to one of the visual hallmarks of a good pour.
Once completed, consumers can head to participating outlets and rate the Guinness served to them using three simple criteria: serve, tilt, and taste.
The “serve” category looks at whether the pint arrives in a clean glass, without spills, and presented on a Guinness coaster. The “tilt” component checks how well the head holds its form, while the “taste” score naturally focuses on the smooth, balanced character expected from Guinness Draught.
After submitting a rating, participants can log in to a personal profile to track their progress and participation. Guinness Malaysia says rewards and experiences may be unlocked along the way as consumers move closer to becoming a “Chief Pint Officer.”

The campaign also functions as a live crowdsourced guide for consumers seeking consistently well-served Guinness around Malaysia. Each submitted rating contributes to the Perfect Pint Guide database, helping identify outlets maintaining strong serving standards.
Joyce Lim, Marketing Manager at Guinness Malaysia, said the campaign builds on the positive response generated by last year’s search for the brand’s first Chief Pint Officers.
“Last year, we searched the country for three people to champion the perfect pint as our first-ever Chief Pint Officers. The response showed us that the pride consumers feel in the craftsmanship and ritual behind a perfectly poured Guinness runs deeper than anticipated and that it’s something worth sharing,” she said.
“With Rate Your Pint, we’re opening that up. It’s about helping consumers better recognize what goes into every Guinness Draught, and empowering them to play a role in upholding its quality. Because a great pint is always better when the people around the table appreciate it too. This guide is built on those shared moments.”
The campaign is now live at participating outlets nationwide. Consumers interested in taking part can visit the microsite at https://perfectpintguide.guinnessmsia.com/ for details and participation information.
