The programme opens with the sparkling Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, followed by the graceful and conversational Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, where melody and emotion flow effortlessly between the soloists and orchestra. The concert concludes with the youthful charm and elegance of Symphony No. 29 in A major, bringing the evening to a refined and uplifting close – a fitting tribute to one of history’s greatest composers.
