The hotel’s signature berbuka buffet runs from February 24 to March 17, 2026, presenting kampung-inspired classics and family recipes curated by its culinary team.
Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre will once again host Selera Kampungku, its annual Ramadan buffet at Merchants on Level 13, from February 24 to March 17, 2026. Now in its third year, the month-long dining series has already become a familiar fixture on the city’s iftar calendar, drawing guests seeking traditional Malaysian flavours in a central, comfortable hotel setting.
Served nightly from 6:30 to 10:30pm over 21 consecutive evenings, Selera Kampungku focuses on kampung-style dishes rooted in regional and family traditions. The 2026 edition places particular emphasis on recipes connected to the hotel’s culinary team, led by Executive Chef Adrian Jackson, with each station highlighting personal heritage and long-preserved techniques.

Rather than presenting a purely contemporary spread, the buffet places a deliberate emphasis on beloved favourites that many Malaysians associate with festive gatherings at home. The format is structured across themed sections and live stations, allowing diners to move between grilled items, rice dishes, soups, and desserts at their own pace.
Among the savoury highlights is Koleksi Sambal by Chef Shazleen, offering a range of house-made condiments designed to accompany grilled meats and rice. Ikan Bakar Portugis by Chef Kenneth brings a Malacca-influenced grilled fish preparation, while Rendang Daging Angus by Chef Saifullah showcases a slow-cooked beef dish built on a rich spice paste and coconut base.

Rice and noodle dishes feature prominently. Nasi Briyani Arab by Chef Sam offers fragrant spiced rice paired with traditional accompaniments, while Laksa Nyonya by Chef Izdihar presents a tangy, coconut-based noodle soup reflecting Peranakan influences. At the carving and grill stations, Kambing Bakar Arab by Chef Irazie adds a Middle Eastern accent to the otherwise Malaysian-focused spread.
Guests will also find Popiah Basah by Chef Syafiq prepared fresh at the station, along with Stesen Sup Tulang by Chef Muzza, where simmered bone broth soup is served hot. Aneka Gorengan by Chef Vengard provides an assortment of fritters and fried snacks that often appear at Ramadan bazaars across the Klang Valley.
Desserts are given equal weight. Serawa Durian by Chef Nisa features the distinctive durian-based sauce commonly paired with glutinous rice or bread, rounding out the meal with a flavour closely associated with local palates.

To complement the dining experience, live music performances will take place throughout the evening, adding a relaxed ambience to the iftar setting. The hotel positions the event as both a culinary showcase and a social occasion, encouraging families, friends, and corporate groups to gather over the breaking of fast.
Pricing for Selera Kampungku is set at RM195+ per adult and RM95+ per child aged 6 to 11. An early bird rate of RM156+ (RM165.35 nett) per person is available for bookings made by February 23, 2026. Reservations can be made via the hotel’s online booking platform or through its dedicated WhatsApp line.
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre has steadily built its Ramadan offerings into a signature annual event. With Selera Kampungku entering its third consecutive year, the hotel appears intent on refining a concept that balances scale with familiarity, presenting a buffet that feels rooted in home-style cooking while delivered within a five-star setting.
