International and private school students across Malaysia are invited to take the stage at Expressions 2026 – a high-energy talent showcase celebrating creativity, performance, and purpose.
Expressions 2026 is set to return to Kuala Lumpur this June, offering students from international and private schools in Greater KL, Penang, JB, and beyond a dynamic platform to showcase their talents in front of a live audience. Organized by TEG Media, this regular event has become a popular fixture on the student calendar, blending performance, creativity, and community engagement in a lively public setting.
Open to both primary and secondary school students, Expressions is designed as an inclusive, open-category showcase where participants are free to express themselves through a wide range of performance styles. From singing and dancing to comedy sketches, magic acts, and hybrid performances, the format encourages originality and entertainment value above all else.

Participants may compete individually or in groups of up to four, with each act given a strict time limit – three minutes for the preliminary round and four minutes for the finals. This structure ensures a fast-paced, engaging programme while also challenging students to deliver polished, impactful performances within a defined timeframe.
The preliminary rounds for Expressions 2026 will take place on June 6, followed by the finals on June 7, both held at KLGCC Mall in Kuala Lumpur. Finalists will perform in front of a panel of judges and a live audience, with winners receiving cash prizes for their schools, as well as individual rewards for the performers themselves.

Prizes for both primary and secondary categories include RM3,000 for first place (awarded to the school), along with a trophy and RM600 for the student or team. Second place winners receive RM2,000 for their school and RM300 for the performers, while consolation prizes include RM1,000 for the school and RM150 for the students.
Beyond the prizes, the event offers something equally valuable – exposure. Winners and selected participants will be featured across TEG Media’s publications and digital platforms, providing recognition that extends well beyond the event itself.
Expressions also carries a charitable element, with winnings directed towards each school’s chosen charity, reinforcing the event’s broader aim of encouraging students to contribute positively to their communities through their talents.

As the event is held in a public venue, participants are encouraged to ensure that their performances are appropriate for a general audience. Schools play an important role in this process, with all acts requiring approval from a principal or supervising teacher prior to participation.
With its combination of creativity, competition, and community spirit, Expressions 2026 continues to offer a compelling opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and into the spotlight. Schools and students interested in participating are encouraged to register early, as places are expected to fill quickly.
