Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week (KLCW) returns for its third edition from April 28 to May 3, 2026, bringing together cocktail enthusiasts, industry professionals, and leading bar programmes from across the region. Spanning six days and multiple venues, the event continues to build on its growing reputation as a key platform for showcasing craft cocktails and fine spirits in Malaysia.
CITYWIDE CELEBRATION
This year, Kuala Lumpur will once again be divided into four distinct zones – Petaling Jaya/TTDI, Bangsar/Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and Chinatown. Each area will host its own series of events, activations, and guest shifts, creating a decentralised yet cohesive experience across the city.
The week culminates in the Festival Village at Sentul Depot on May 2, running from 1:30pm to 11:30pm. Here, guests can sample cocktails from international brands, enjoy live music, take part in games and masterclasses, and experience a lively showcase of cocktail culture in an interactive setting.
GLOBAL TALENT, LOCAL STAGE
A highlight of KLCW is the City Takeover, which brings a cross-section of Asia’s most influential bars into Kuala Lumpur. Visiting names this year include renowned venues such as COA, Native, Bar Benfiddich, and Quinary, among many others. These guest shifts offer a chance to experience distinct styles, techniques, and flavour profiles from across the region.
Local venues play an equally important role, with participating bars including Amazonas, Bar Trigona, JungleBird, Penrose, Reka:Bar, Three X Co, and Wet Deck, among others. Together, they form the backbone of Kuala Lumpur’s steadily evolving cocktail scene.
A SOCIAL START AND INDUSTRY FOCUS
KLCW 2026 gets underway with a pickleball-themed opening party at PLAYA Racquet Club on April 19. Designed as a relaxed daytime gathering, the event brings together members of the bar community and guests for casual play and cocktails, setting the tone ahead of the main programme.
On May 1, the focus shifts to industry insights with Tipple Talks, a full-day food and beverage conference held at W Kuala Lumpur. Running from 9:30am to 5pm, the sessions explore key topics shaping hospitality today, including culinary heritage, identity, workforce changes, artificial intelligence, and the growing influence of the creator economy.
Speakers include respected figures from across the region, such as May Chow, Jay Khan, and Indra Kantono, alongside industry leaders, editors, and academy chairs from Asia’s 50 Best Bars network.
DINING AND COLLABORATION
Adding a culinary dimension to the programme, KLCW 2026 will feature a series of cocktail pairing dinners in collaboration with premium water partners S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. Participating restaurants include Akar, Nadodi, Terra Dining, and Yellow Fin Horse, among others, offering curated menus designed to complement crafted cocktails.
These collaborations highlight the growing intersection between gastronomy and mixology, reinforcing the event’s role as a platform for cross-industry engagement.
