Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 brings three days of food, culture, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities to Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang this weekend, with more than 60 vendors serving up a taste of the state.
If your idea of a productive and enjoyable weekend involves eating your way through Selangor, this could be just the ticket.
Running from October 2 to 4 as part of Visit Selangor Year 2026, the Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 turns Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang into a sprawling celebration of the state’s food and lifestyle scene. The festival runs from 10am to 10pm daily, with free admission, making it an easy option for families, groups of friends, or anyone who simply believes that a weekend afternoon is improved considerably by the prospect of something delicious.
More than 60 food and beverage vendors are expected, with offerings spanning traditional Selangor favourites, contemporary creations, viral street food, and locally developed products. Visitors can expect plenty of familiar regional flavours, including classics such as Satay Kajang and Nasi Ambeng, alongside fresh seafood from Sekinchan and a broader selection of local and international fare.
MORE THAN JUST A FOOD FEST
Food is naturally the star of the show, but there is plenty to keep visitors occupied between meals. Dedicated food zones will explore Selangor’s culinary heritage as well as its more modern urban food culture, while culinary demonstrations, food exhibitions, eating challenges, creative workshops, and interactive activities add a little extra energy to the weekend.
There will also be cultural performances, influencer meet-and-greet sessions, and even a 1v1 street soccer competition, so there is a reasonable chance of burning off at least some of those festival calories.
One of the major highlights will be the launch of the new Signature Selangor Campaign, a Tourism Selangor initiative designed to identify, celebrate, and promote food and beverages that have become closely associated with the state. A special promotional video will also showcase selected Signature Selangor culinary experiences.
The entertainment programme is equally substantial. Bunga and Mohsein Kush will appear during the festival, while Cherpen and Sofazr perform on October 2, TIP Band takes the stage on October 3, and legendary rock bands Kristal X and XPDC close out the festival on October 4.
The festival also has a serious business side, giving local food and beverage entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products, build networks, and find new customers and commercial opportunities.
With more than 20,000 visitors expected, Selangor Mega Food Fest is also part of the state’s broader effort to strengthen food tourism and support the Visit Selangor Year 2026 target of nine million tourist arrivals and RM12 billion in tourism receipts.
For everyone else, the objective is much more straightforward: arrive hungry, explore widely, and see how much of Selangor you can taste in one weekend!
