As Chinese New Year approaches, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur presents Ember Prosperity (瑞焰生輝), a season-long celebration running from January 15 to March 3, 2026. Inspired by the elemental symbolism of fire and fortune, the programme brings together time-honoured Cantonese traditions, premium ingredients, and contemporary hospitality across several of the hotel’s signature venues.

At the centre of the festivities is Tao Chinese Cuisine, where Senior Executive Chinese Chef Wong leads a series of multi-course set menus designed for reunion dining. Rooted in classic Cantonese technique, each menu balances auspicious ingredients with disciplined preparation, offering a dining experience that feels celebratory without excess. Each confirmed set menu for ten persons also comes with a complimentary limited-edition Chinese New Year ang pow, adding a thoughtful festive touch.
Beyond Tao, the celebrations extend to a lavish reunion dinner buffet at Serena Brasserie and an Oriental-inspired afternoon tea at OneSixFive Lounge. Together, these offerings form a cohesive festive narrative that caters to different group sizes, occasions, and styles of celebration, while maintaining a consistent sense of polish throughout.
