Malaysia’s largest women-centric wellness gathering welcomed more than 1,500 ticket holders for a weekend of workshops, candid conversations, and community, with financial wellness making its debut among the festival’s expanded offerings.
The Women Wellness Festival returned for its biggest edition yet on October 3 and 4, bringing two days of movement, mindfulness, and meaningful connection to Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown. Now in its third year, the festival issued more than 1,500 tickets as it expanded from a single-day event into a full weekend celebrating women at every stage of life.
Officiated for the second consecutive year by YB Hannah Yeoh, the festival featured more than 50 workshops, talks, panel discussions, and hands-on sessions spread across five zones and two floors. The expanded programme offered a broader approach to wellbeing, encouraging participants to invest in themselves while building connections with others.

In her address, Yeoh highlighted the importance of creating spaces where women can learn, recharge, and find support.
“Women need spaces where they can pause, learn and realise that they do not have to carry everything alone,” she said. “Wellbeing is not only about how we feel and it is also about having security, choices and greater control over our own future.”
That message resonated throughout the weekend’s programme, which explored wellbeing beyond its conventional associations with physical fitness and mindfulness. A first-time focus on financial wellness encouraged women to consider financial security and independence as essential components of their overall health.

From expert-led workshops to open, honest discussions, the festival was designed to let attendees move between learning, movement, connection, and rest, creating a more holistic experience.
For Diane Chia, co-founder and executive director of Millennia Village, the record turnout reflected the growing appetite for a supportive community where women can learn and invest in themselves, regardless of age or stage of life.
“Our goal has always been to create a safe, inspiring space where women can learn, connect and invest in themselves,” she said, adding that seeing women support one another in greater numbers reinforced the importance of the initiative.

Raja Jesrina Arshad, founder and CEO of PurelyB, said the expanded programme and new venue allowed the organizers to offer a richer experience, with deeper conversations taking place across the festival’s sessions.
“This year surpassed all our expectations, from the energy to the turnout to the depth of the conversations happening across every session,” she said. “Wellness is not just an individual journey, it is a collective experience.”
Sarah Lian, founder of Supparetreat, echoed that sentiment, describing the sense of community at this year’s festival as stronger than ever. The opportunity for women to pause, speak openly, and feel a sense of belonging remained central to the event’s purpose.
The Women Wellness Festival is a collaborative initiative by Millennia Village, PurelyB, and Supparetreat, founded by three friends united by a shared passion for wellness. Its inaugural edition took place in January 2025, and it has since grown into what the organizers describe as Malaysia’s largest women’s wellness gathering.

This year’s festival was supported by digital health platform NOVV, Gentle Therapy, REN Wellness, MINT Events, Muka Wellness, seca, The Cranberry Institute, and SAGES.
With its growing attendance and broader approach to wellbeing, the festival continues to champion a simple but powerful idea: caring for oneself is not an indulgence, and no woman needs to navigate her wellness journey alone.
