Tiger Beer is turning up the temperature around the Klang Valley this month with a lively new campaign that blends street culture, interactive experiences, and plenty of cold beer – all while celebrating the uniquely Malaysian knack for carrying on in the tropical heat.
Tiger Beer has launched its new “Brewed to Defy the Heat” campaign across the Klang Valley, bringing together art, nightlife, and consumer activations in a distinctly Malaysian celebration of resilience under the tropical sun.
Running through May 31, 2026, the campaign combines on-ground experiences with outlet promotions across West Malaysia, encouraging consumers to gather with friends and embrace the heat rather than hide from it. At the centre of the activation is a custom-designed Kombi van created in collaboration with well-known Malaysian street artist Kenji Chai, whose playful, instantly recognizable illustrations have become a familiar sight in urban spaces around the country.

The retro-inspired van serves as a travelling interactive experience, transforming into a challenge station at each stop where participants can test their skills in fast-paced games and activities. It is very much designed to capture the lively, energetic spirit that Tiger Beer has long associated with Malaysia’s street culture and social scene.
The campaign’s aesthetic leans heavily into local identity, with Kenji’s artwork reflecting everyday Malaysian life – late nights out, mamak culture, spontaneous plans with friends, and the enduring reality of navigating humidity and heat with good humour intact. As part of the collaboration, the artist has also completed a themed mural in Kuala Lumpur inspired by the “Brewed to Defy the Heat” concept, accompanied by a short film highlighting slices of urban Malaysian life.

Julie Kuan, Marketing Manager of Tiger Beer, said the campaign draws inspiration from the realities of life in Southeast Asia.
“Tiger Beer was born in the tropics, and the heat has always been part of life here,” she said. “What stands out is how people continue to show up, come together, and make the most of it, and Tiger Beer has always been there in those moments.”
Beyond the travelling Kombi activation, the campaign also extends into participating pubs, bars, and restaurants throughout West Malaysia, where customers can enter a nationwide rewards promotion with purchases of selected Tiger Beer products.

Consumers purchasing a bucket of Tiger Beer bottles receive one contest entry, while purchases of Tiger Draught sets, Tiger Crystal, or Tiger Soju Flavoured Lager earn three entries. Participants can submit receipts through the campaign microsite for a chance to win prizes including Dyson Air Purifier Fans and Tiger-branded 8-litre cooler boxes.
The campaign also arrives amid a growing emphasis among beer brands on experiential marketing and local cultural collaborations, particularly those rooted in street art, music, and nightlife. Tiger Beer has increasingly embraced these lifestyle-driven campaigns in recent years, especially across Asian markets where younger urban consumers are seeking more immersive brand experiences.
