Set within the striking Permata Sapura Tower in KLCC, 6 Degrees Modern Mediterranean Dining brings together contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, stylish surroundings, and impressive skyline views, creating a dining destination that feels both refined and refreshingly approachable.
Perched on the Sky Garden level of Permata Sapura Tower, just a short walk from the Petronas Twin Towers, 6 Degrees Modern Mediterranean Dining offers a welcome departure from the typical city-centre restaurant experience. Combining Mediterranean influences with modern presentation and a relaxed, casually upscale atmosphere, the venue has quickly attracted attention from both local diners and visitors seeking something a little different in the KLCC area.

Located on Level 6 of the landmark office tower, the restaurant enjoys a unique setting surrounded by greenery and open-air elements that soften the concrete and chaos of Kuala Lumpur’s commercial core. While many city-centre dining venues focus heavily on luxury and exclusivity, 6 Degrees instead strikes a comfortable balance between sophistication and accessibility. We found the prices to be reasonable, and in some cases, surprisingly affordable. (One notable example of this is the Barbecued Spanish Octopus on the mains menu, priced at just RM58 at the time of our visit.)
The restaurant’s concept draws inspiration from the diverse culinary traditions of the Mediterranean region, leaning heavily on the ‘Blue Zone’ dining philosophy and championing a lovely ‘farm-to-table’ approach, working with local producers and suppliers whenever possible. Diners can expect a menu featuring familiar ingredients such as olive oil, fresh herbs, grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and vibrant seasonal produce. The kitchen takes a contemporary approach, presenting dishes with modern flair while remaining grounded in the flavour profiles that have made Mediterranean cuisine so widely appreciated.
We feel that one of the restaurant’s greatest strengths is its versatility. It works equally well as a business lunch venue, a casual dinner destination, or a setting for special occasions. The spacious layout and thoughtfully designed interior create an environment that feels polished without becoming overly formal. Floor-to-ceiling views and the surrounding landscaped setting add an extra dimension to the experience, and though we visited for a quick lunch this time, we imagine the vibe would be particularly appealing as the city lights begin to illuminate the skyline after sunset.

THE FOOD AND DRINKS
Mediterranean cuisine has long been associated with fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, and a communal style of dining, and those principles are evident throughout the restaurant’s approach. Guests are encouraged to share plates, sample a variety of dishes, and enjoy a leisurely meal rather than rushing through a dining session. The result is a dining experience that feels social and engaging, whether visiting as a couple, a family, or a larger group.
The restaurant offers a ‘Business Set’ lunch with three options at three different price points, starting at RM59, a great choice for busy patrons working in the KLCC area.
We went the à la carte route and had a simple meal consisting of a Frittura di Paranza tapas dish (RM35), a delightful presentation of lightly breaded and flash-fried whitebait, served with aioli and lemon, along with a very tasty Mediterranean Salad (RM42) consisting of black and green sliced olives, chickpeas, lentils, grape tomatoes, a bit of red onion, and feta cheese, all drizzled with olive oil and fresh lemon.

Drinks at 6 Degrees are something we definitely want try on a return visit. We love that they serve Purezza still and sparkling water from tap, with a modest RM5 charge per person and complimentary refills. Also on tap, to our delight, are a number of Paperkite beers. The local craft beer is making waves, and we’re happy to see them showing up in more and more places. Of course, there are other options, such as kombuchas and an array of non-alcoholic crafted beverages, too. The coffees are also superb, and 6 Degrees even offers a convenient ‘grab and go’ beverage and pastry counter just outside the main entrance.

Service is another area where the restaurant appears to place considerable emphasis. Staff members are attentive and friendly, helping guide diners through the menu while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The overall experience feels refined without becoming stiff, something we believe is an important distinction in a market where service can sometimes feel a bit too performative.

Perhaps most importantly, 6 Degrees succeeds in creating a sense of place. In a district known for high-rise towers, luxury malls, and corporate offices, the restaurant manages to carve out an environment that feels surprisingly removed from the surrounding urban intensity. The combination of greenery, contemporary design, and Mediterranean-inspired hospitality gives the venue a distinctive character within Kuala Lumpur’s competitive dining landscape.
For diners seeking a stylish yet approachable restaurant near KLCC, 6 Degrees Modern Mediterranean Dining offers a compelling option. With its appealing setting, modern Mediterranean menu, and welcoming ambience, it delivers an experience that is as much about atmosphere as it is about the food itself – a formula that continues to resonate with diners looking for memorable meals in the heart of the city. We are eager to return for a full review in the near future.
